Words of life.

“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” Acts 16:31. Paul said these words to the trembling jailer amid the chaos of a violent earthquake that opened jail doors and opened the chains of the prisoners.

Paul and Silas were in Phillipi, a Roman colony and leading city in Macedonia, where Paul cast out the fortune-telling demon from a slave-girl. When her owners realized that they would not be getting a great income from her, they started shouting, created a mob, and dragged Silas and Paul to the magistrates. They were stripped and beaten with rods, then thrown into an inner cell and shackled. At midnight, bruised and battered Paul and Silas were singing hymns when this strange earthquake hit the jail. Shackles were loosed and doors opened. Eventually, the Jailer took them home, washed their wounds, got baptized with his family, and gave them food. Acts 16:16-40.

So much in a few words with only the necessary information. It was these lifesaving words that brought hope and eternal life to the Jailer. From the imprisoned criminals. Believing in Yeshua as your Savior, who forgives your sins and rescues you from the shackles of satan, is key. You then go from death to life, from darkness to light, and from bondage to satan to freedom in the Messiah. You and your family.

This is the first step to life. Yeshua the Messiah is the Word. His words are alive, powerful, healing, and peaceful, driven by His love for you.
